Sfereco restaurant drops its meatballs and spaghetti into Lewisville
The meatballs are on their way with the arrival of Lewisville Sphericity, Refined Hospitality Concepts’ Italian-American restaurant, which debuted at The Statler Dallas hotel in June 2020.
Located at 233 W Church St., the former home of Cavalli Pizza, the restaurant opens on Monday, August 9th, according to a release.
The Lewisville location will have something the original doesn’t have: a precious wood-burning pizza oven inherited from the previous tenant; and a fun spaghetti western theme on the menu with starters, sandwiches, pizzas, starters, salads and meatballs. (Though it seems like you might as well be watching a meatball theme as well as a spaghetti western theme.)
Dishes include:
-
Whipped ricotta with apricot jelly, roasted pecans and homemade focaccia
-
Fried Calabrian Chili Prawns with Garlic, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Lemon Gremolata
-
Crispy braised beef ravioli with tomato sauce, parmesan
-
Brisket Meatball with Bourbon BBQ and Herbs
-
Impossible vegan ball with tomato sauce, vegan cheese, fresh basil
The publication does not mention spaghetti as an option, which seems like a serious oversight given the “spaghetti western” theme mentioned above.
But don’t worry, the online menu shows spaghetti as an option in the do-it-yourself program: You choose your meatball from six flavors, plus a sauce of your choice (Bolognese, basil pesto, vegetable ragout, etc.) and a selection of pasta bowls, including Rigatoni, orecchiette, polenta and – yes, spaghetti, thank God.
You’ll also have lasagna, pizza, and tiramisu, plus a large outdoor deck – a must for 2021.
CEO Robert Hall says the Italian-American dining experience at Sfereco is “second to none” and says that “the Western spirit coupled with our authentic style of cooking is a balance between fun and taste.”
