Stylish lunch spot Mendocino Farms plans 2 new restaurants: Uptown and Plano

Mendocino Farms sandwich and salad shop continues its expansion in North Texas, with two new restaurants slated to open in Dallas and Plano in 2022.

Mendocino Farms is a fast-casual lunch spot from California that I named one of the most exciting new restaurants to open in D-FW in 2020. It’s a breeze to eat vegan, gluten-free, or healthy here.

Mendo’s prosuitto chicken sandwich is a personal favorite, and the spicy curry couscous side is so good that I always take some with me. Yum, maybe I’m going to lunch today.

The new Dallas restaurant is expected to open in the West Village in the summer of 2022 in place of the Lorna Jane women’s clothing store.

The new Plano restaurant is expected to open in Legacy West. It will come in midsummer 2022.

The first Mendo opened in downtown Dallas in March 2020. The Addison store opened a year later.

Other popular dishes at Mendocino Farms are the “not-so-fried” chicken sandwich, the pork belly banh mi and the “sophisticated chicken and prosciutto salad”. For a lighter meal there are five of the sandwiches in half, with a soup or a side dish.
