Suffolk Construction to renovate DFW Airport Terminal C
The US construction company Suffolk has been awarded the contract for the Terminal C renovation project for the Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Texas.
The 850,000ft2 phased project includes interior upgrades on 18 domestic gates; Reconfiguration and expansion of ticketing and security controls; Concessions and toilet area upgrades; Replacement and installation of energy efficient glazing and HVAC systems; Revision of passenger boarding bridges and preconditioned air units; Ramp marking and guidance systems; Jet fuel lines; and new baggage handling areas.

Suffolk was selected for the project in collaboration with 3i Contracting. The pre-construction of the project has already started and will include detailed micro-phase and sequencing planning to ensure continuity of customer service during the later construction phases. Complete construction and renovation work is scheduled to begin in 2024, and the project is expected to be completed in 2026.
