Sweetest restaurant Sugar Factory opens in Dallas with red-carpet fete
The sweetness has arrived: Sugar factory American brasserie, the restaurant known for over-the-top candy, is opening its first Texas location in Dallas at 1900 Cedar Springs Rd., in a former Ruth’s Chris.
According to a press release, it opens on November 5th with a celebrity appearance and some pizzazz on the red carpet.
Sugar Factory was originally founded as a candy store in 2009 before owner Charissa Davidovici, a former school teacher, turned it into a candy store-restaurant combo. Dining there means larger-than-life smoking cups, insane milkshakes and interactive experiences, some of which are intended for eating and drinking, but also very much for Instagram.
the atmosphere
The location in Dallas offers a main dining area with 200 seats as well as colored flower walls, which are perfect for posing, and an elaborate 3D flower ceiling.
A private dining room is available for celebrations with up to 66 people. The bar has 20 seats and 40 high tables with full menu service. An indoor-outdoor lounge has fire pits and retractable shop windows.
The retail store is located outside the dining room and is accessed through a candy heart display that contains more than 50 types of candy on a floor-to-ceiling candy wall.

Sugar Factory offers brunch, lunch and dinner with burgers, pastas, starters, salads, desserts and colorful rainbow dishes. Popular menu items are:
