Texans Attacked a NYC Hostess Thursday Night When Asked for Proof of Vaccine

On Monday, restaurants in New York City had to begin enforcing the key to NYC vaccine passport, which requires diners to provide proof of at least one dose of vaccine if they want to sit in the restaurant. The directive has been in force since mid-August but was only fully implemented this week.

Restaurants that fail to ask their customers for proof of vaccination can be fined up to $ 1,000. And NYC officials have promised routine inspections. No proof of vaccination is required for outdoor dining.

On Thursday night, a group from Texas struggled with a hostess at Carmine’s Italian restaurant after asking the group for proof of vaccine. On a video obtained from NBC, you can see her being beaten while others try to pull the guests away.

– NBC New York (@NBCNewYork) Sep 17, 2021 Marcia Todd was dining at Carmine’s at the time of the incident, telling NBC New York, “Businesses have a role and citizens have a role, so I think we all have a role to play must be responsible and do our part. ”

The role of the company includes being held responsible for the fine. Unfortunately, restaurants are once again the first line of defense, especially the hostess booth.
