After a year hiatus due to the pandemic, Carrollton’s most important (and family-friendly) major event Festival on the Swtchyard is back in person this year! It’s definitely a highlight of this weekend in Dallas.
Enjoy amazing shows, amazing food vendors this Saturday and bring your kids … there is really cool entertainment for them too! What you can expect:

Farmer’s Table 2021 at the Heritage Farmstead Museum

Picnic tables adorn the Heritage Farmstead Museum’s historic site in anticipation of a lovely, local four-course meal prepared with locally sourced ingredients and served by Plano ISD Junior and Senior FFA members. Beer, wine and a signature cocktail are served by volunteer parents.
Not only will it be an unforgettable experience for you and your loved ones, but money will also be raised to support the Plano FFA Friends & Family and the Heritage Farmstead Museum. Guests will enjoy live music and can also bid on some great prizes in our silent auction.

Market in the star

Sanitized Comedy Showcase

Are you ready for a few laughs? This family-friendly stand-up comedy show will feature some of the best comedians from the Dallas Fort Worth area. Actors like Peng Dang, Zack Sprung, Eddie Trevino and Lia Bia will only be at their funniest and squeaky clean side for the little ones!
This event also raises funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Take part in the Tough Mudder Mud Run

Now is your chance to become a “mudder” if you are up to the physical challenge! Tough Mudder has come to Dallas and is taking place at the True Grit Ranch in Granbury this weekend. It’s one of the most challenging (but rewarding!) Things to do this weekend in Dallas.
Participants (or “mudders” as they are called) can tackle famous obstacles like Everest and Mudderhorn, during the Mighty Mudder course for children ages 8-12 and the Mini Mudder for children ages 5-7 is available. The whole family is very welcome to this long and entertaining event – and all for a good cause.
A group of 14 active service members, veterans and their spouses (mostly from Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo) will raise funds to support veteran care and mental health programs as part of the Infinite Hero Honor Challenge. The 10-hour endurance survival event includes a range of mental, physical, and survival missions on and off the Tough Mudder course.
