Oktoberfest events are still on the program this week, but also insights into autumnal food and drinks. Angel’s Envy Pairing Dinner at Whiskey Cake Plano
In collaboration with the Angel’s Envy distillery in Kentucky, the people at the Plano site serve Whiskey Cake a six-course bourbon pairing dinner. Menu highlights include lamb croquettes, Caribbean coconut soup, jerk prawns, and coconut cake. Dinner is $ 85 per person plus tax and tip and starts at 7:00 PM.

Zero Gradi opening
the The new Italian dessert bar in downtown Dallas, offering ice cream, sorbets, pastries, and espresso, is opening with a three-day affair. Attend live entertainment and free samples from Wednesday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Note that big brother’s restaurant, 400 Gradi Pizzeria, is right next door.

Wine and Cheese Festival: Fall Harvest at Eataly Dallas
Discover the Italian gourmet mecca on this strolling tasting tour. There are more than 15 autumn wines to try along with an overwhelming selection of cheeses, cold meats, homemade pasta and more. Tickets are $ 65 per person and the event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Blind wine tasting at La Tarte Tropézienne
Rely on your senses to decipher the properties of certain grapes. The downtown Dallas French bakery will partner with Allen’s Vetted Cellars to host a blind wine tasting. Tickets are $ 40 per person and the tasting starts at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday October 2nd
Oktoberfest at Jaxon Texas Kitchen & Beer Garden
Head to the downtown Dallas restaurant and bar for all-day Oktoberfest features, including a German-themed beer wall that comes in 16 or 22 ounces, a bratwurst station, and a Bavarian-style pretzel station. Bring the kids as there is face painting and a balloon artist. Plan for costume competitions, yodelling and jug lifting competitions, as well as live music for the adults. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., admission is free.
Frisco Oktoberfest
This two-day event has two stages with live music and dancing to German beer, brats, pretzels and more. Expect classic Oktoberfest gadgets such as jug heating competitions, barrel rolls and loads of lederhosen. Tickets start at $ 20, including a sheet of 20 tickets redeemable for food and drink. The event takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tacotopia
Nebraska Furniture Mart is hosting a taco party. The all-day event takes place on the Grandscape Lawn and features local food vendors, live music and Jalisco dancers, competitions to eat nacho and hot sauce, and even a Selena tribute band with dance lessons before the show. Drinks are provided from The Colony Wine Bar. Customers can purchase a $ 10 taco sample pack that includes a choice of three tacos from participating vendors and a drink. The event lasts from 12 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
