This North Texas retail and entertainment development was named most innovative in world

Grandscape, the 433-acre retail and entertainment project that includes a Nebraska Furniture Mart, 26 restaurants, a brewery, an indoor go-karting venue, movie theaters, and a ferris wheel, is an international award winner.

The project under construction at The Colony won last month’s Global RLI Awards in London, beating four other properties, all of which are in Asia.

“With so many outstanding projects around the world, it really is a great honor for the entire Grandscape team to be recognized as the most innovative retail and entertainment project,” said Jeff Lind, President of Grandscape, in a press release. “We’re excited to see what we’ve built, but even more so to the future phases of this project. Grandscape is a one-of-a-kind travel destination and we’re just getting started. “

When completed, Grandscape will have 3 million square feet of retail, entertainment, dining, housing, offices and attractions.

According to the press release, construction of the 95 hectare lifestyle center portion of the project is underway. Phase 1 was opened in March 2020 with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, Galaxy Theaters and what it claims to be the world’s largest sports shop, SCHEELS.

Grandscape was recognized in the Most Innovative Retail and Entertainment Project category, one step ahead of Novotown in Zhuhai, China; ParadropVR City Flyer in Bangkok; and Zijing Paradise Walk in Hangzhou, China.

The “awards” category to projects that have created an extraordinary experience for customers and tenants alike, ”says the announcement.
