By numbers: 13229 Southview Ln, Dallas, TX 75240 | $ 989,000 | 5,786 square feet | 2000 (year of construction) | 2 bedrooms | 2 bathrooms | 1 heart-shaped bathtub
Hardly a week goes by in which a corner of the Lone Star State is best described as a “weird” place gracing the market. Step into 13229 Southview Lane, a confusing Dallas domicile that charges $ 989,000. One look at the nondescript exterior of the house and passers-by will likely assume that the property is the definition of normal. It is not.
The facade of this “house” is actually a facade – and a convincing one. If you venture into the 5,786 square meter building, you will discover the remains of a facility that looks somehow.

The walls, floor and ceiling of the building, which is described as “a property like no other,” are all made of concrete. It is connected to two power grids and also has a natural gas generator powered by two diesel fuel tanks. Industrial equipment, large fluorescent lights, and exit signs are in abundance. Fire extinguishers are attached to the walls in almost all rooms. With office and storage space, “this property can serve as the perfect storage location for large wine collections, art collections, multiple cars, as well as the ultimate safe home,” the listing says.

Understandably, the original poster couldn’t quite get to the heart of the matter.
“Um, the facade of this house is just a facade?”
One person jokingly said, “Someone has taken ‘work from home’ a little too far.”
Other members speculated what exactly the house was before it went on sale.
“Here they dissected aliens,” joked one user.
Among other notable speculations, members theorized that the house was a CIA black page, safe house, warehouse, office space, laboratory, and even a “vampire blood farm operation” – whatever that is.
“I’m not saying this was for sure a facade for a vampire blood farm operation ……… But I’m pretty sure this was a facade for a vampire blood farm operation,” joked the commentator.
Some speculated that the house was the site of unsavory, illegal activity – much like the nefarious dealings of an infamous Walter White, known to some as Heisenberg.
“Looks like Walt and Jesse have this house under control!” Joked one commenter.

Although the story is somewhat obscure, many postulated that the deceptive structure was once home to a data center.
