Uptown Dallas high-rise shows off a $4 million redo
The owners of one of Uptown Dallas’s first office towers have completed the renovation of the skyscraper.
The 17-story Advancial Tower on Woodall Rodgers Freeway and Akard Street was built in 1984. It is older than the Crescent and most of the other office buildings that were built in the area north of downtown Dallas.
A partnership between Dallas’ Woodbine Development and First United Bank bought the office tower in 2019 and is working on a reboot of the property.
The new owners have so far spent more than $ 4 million to modernize the building and add a new lobby with a cafe, art gallery and lounge area.
The Dallas architect Gensler designed the revision.
“As Woodbine continues to actively acquire and develop office products, we are bringing our hospitality expertise to these projects and creating a tenant experience that can rival the guest experience in upscale full-service hotels,” said Dupree Scovell, Woodbine’s Managing Partner, in an explanation.
Tenants in the Advancial Tower include First United Bank, Advancial Credit Union, Omniplan, and Edelman.
Thirty-Four Commercial is renting the building.
