Vegan chicken place coming to Greenville Avenue

A vegan, plant-based chicken restaurant opens its first location in Dallas.

The Pollo project began as a food cart in San Antonio and spread across the city. It now has seats in Austin, Katy, and Houston, with more planned for Corpus Christi and Round Rock.

And one opens on Greenville Avenue near The Shops at Park Lane.

The restaurant’s menu is similar to that of other fast food restaurants that focus on chicken, such as Raising Cane’s or Chick-fil-A. But everything is vegan.

“We wanted to redefine consumer behavior by offering convenience, quality and accessibility,” says founder Lucas Bradbury on the restaurant’s website. “The future of mass consumption is inevitably vegetable; We want to lead on that front, put one on every corner, and have affordable options in every community that surrounds us. “

Neighbors will find chicken nuggets, spicy and mild chicken sandwiches, chicken wraps and more. Additionally, Project Pollo has a selection of plant-based burgers and lots of side dishes – mac and cheese, fried pickles and fries, to name a few.

Sauces include Spicy Garlic Buffalo, Garlic Parm, Chipotle Ranch, Ranch, and Birdy Sauce, a creamy mayo.

You haven’t forgotten a dessert menu. Double chocolate and sugar cookies are from the Southern Roots Vegan Bakery in San Antonio. And milkshakes are made with oat milk.

Project Pollo is located at 6855 Greenville Ave.
