The restaurant is located in the former Cook Hall area to the left of the hotel entrance on Houston Street and has 150 seats and a further 20 seats in the bar and lounge area. The space was redesigned by interior designer Jose Jafif with a mix of neoclassical and modern trends and eclectic details.

In a statement, co-owner Jean-Philippe Bernard calls the design spectacular.

“I’m very excited to be opening a restaurant in Dallas with my friends and business partners,” says Bernard. “We look forward to sharing a next level experience with our future guests, a place where they can dine, socialize and celebrate, that combines culinary excellence and glamorous lifestyle. From the kitchen and drinks menu to the general Atmosphere and ambience, Villa Azur will definitely bring the authentic, vibrant and festive southern France energy to Dallas. “

“The Villa Azur is not only a restaurant where guests can enjoy fine French-Mediterranean cuisine, but also a ‘destination’ where friends can meet in a cozy but energetic atmosphere,” says Operations Director Genevieve Bernard.

Villa Azur is part of a wave of Miami concepts that are adding some Miami heat to Dallas. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel will also host a changing collection of contemporary art with works from the Markowitz Fine Art Gallery on the opening weekend.
