When temperatures are near the mark of the century, it’s fun to make your favorite Christmas jam and dream of the cooler holidays to come.

And while you’re at it, read the news that there’s a new venue for the Christmas lighting extravaganza called Enchant. This year’s theme, “The Great Search,” promises to take customers “on a journey through the mystical forest of millions of twinkling lights and a world of wondrous art installations to save Christmas,” according to their press release. But wait, as the holiday advertisement says, there’s more. There’s an artisanal Christmas market, delicious holiday treats from all over the world, an ice skating rink and the obligatory opportunity to rub with the funny old elf himself, Santa Claus. The event actually hails from Canada and Enchant: World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze & Market first made a name for itself in Arlington during the 2017 season. It then continued at Globe Life Park for an additional two years until the completion of Globe Life Field for the Rangers forced it to cease activity.
