Welcome back to another fall celebration of events from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra

With the start of the 2021-2022 season, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra is ready to welcome its audiences to a brand new year. With safety still a top priority, the organization has a number of popular works and vibrant scores ready to perform for listeners of all ages across Dallas. Whether you’re a long-time customer or a beginner, it has never been a more inviting time to enjoy the DSO.

Opening Festival Dallas Symphony Wine & Food, 27.-29. August

Combine inspired food and drink at the DSO’s first Wine & Food Festival, three unforgettable days of culinary experiences at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Here you will find a wide selection of wines, champagne, craft beer and spirits from experts from home and abroad. In addition to the selection of delightful beverages, there is a hearty selection of samples and plates from some of Dallas’s most famous chefs and restaurants. The opening year of the Wine & Food Festival is presented by the Republic National Distributing Company.

Circle T Music Festival in Westlake, 1-3. September

Register for three days of musical excitement at the first Circle T Music Festival in Westlake. Presented by Capital One and hosted by the Perot family, the Circle T Music Festival combines contemporary and classical music into a family-friendly event that everyone should see. The Circle T Music Festival will feature several incredible artists over the three days. Tony Award-winning singer Kelli O’Hara and guest conductor Rob Fisher will take the main stage on September 1st, tango-inspired version by Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla. On the final evening, the famous drum and brass sections of the DSO will muster some patriotic fervor with a bevy of American favorites.

The Circle T Music Festival is more than an incredible selection of music. The gathering will also host several delicious food trucks and a variety of activities for the whole family.

Concert season starts on September 3rd

The concert season 2021-2022 starts on September 3rd with “Coco – Live in Concert”. The whole family will love watching Disney Pixar’s beloved “Coco” with live music from the DSO and guitarist Federico Ramos, the original cast member in the film. Experience Michael Giacchino’s acclaimed score like never before.

Fabio Luisi returns on September 16th

Music director Fabio Luisi’s performances with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra have become an unforgettable experience as he and the musicians refined their musical partnership. Concerts with Luisi and the DSO are elegant and rousing, crackling with excitement. The DSO’s Texas Instruments Classical Series begins on September 16, when the acclaimed conductor returns to Dallas to perform the DSO in Brahms’ First Symphony, Frederick Converse’s Walt Whitman-inspired “The Mystic Trumpeter,” and Aaron Copland’s masterpiece Organ Symphony with the soloist Bradley Hunter to direct Welch and the majestic Lay Family Concert Organ.

The DSO gala concert 2021, September 25th

Support the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s educational initiatives with a night of glamor and music at the Meyerson. Chaired by Andy Smith and Paul von Wupperfeld and Honorary Chairs Rich and Mary Templeton, the annual DSO gala serves as one of the DSO’s largest fundraising drives. Capital One is the sponsor of the DSO Gala Concert 2021.

The gala benefits the DSO’s music and education programs, which touch the lives of more than 243,000 North Texas residents annually, including more than 30,000 children. Some of these community initiatives include the Southern Dallas Residency, Parks Concerts, and numerous artistic and organizational collaborations that allow the orchestra to share the joy of music with an ever-growing audience.

“We firmly believe in supporting organizations and events that directly benefit the performing arts, which are so important to creating and maintaining a vibrant, growing and strong community,” said Gala Chairman Andy Smith.

At the DSO Gala, guests enjoy a sumptuous meal and an orchestra evening under the direction of Fabio Luisi with the renowned violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.
