Where to shop in Dallas right now: 8 must-hit stores for September
What is it? A temperature below 90 degrees to work? It’s officially time to break into the fall wardrobe in Dallas. From seriously impotent men’s clothing sold in a downtown luxury hotel to feel-good favorites for the whole family in the New Kid on the Block of the NorthPark Center, a successful shopping spree can be done without sweat.
Faherty
This family-run brand is bringing its feel-good products to Dallas and is officially open on level one in the NorthPark Center between Nordstrom and Macy’s. With 77 percent of this company’s materials made from sustainable fibers like organic cotton, ethical cashmere, recycled polyester, linen and hemp, shoppers can be assured that buying from this store will reduce their carbon footprint.
Autumn market in the shops on Park Lane
Head to this main North Dallas shopping mall and hit a local artisan market while the temperatures are picture-perfect. The markets run every first Saturday of the month through November 6th and offer action between Starbucks and Chipotle. There will also be live music and giveaways on this already fun day.
Gucci
Fans of the traditional and lavish fashion house Gucci will be glad it just launched a new lifestyle line for those who can’t get enough GG in their lives. The new collection, launched on September 10th, includes satin silk slippers and pajamas with a variety of Gucci House prints; a travel set with sleeping masks, pillows and mules made of environmentally friendly silk and viscose; and more. These new luxuries are available in stores in the Dallas area or online.
Collaboration between Lele Sadoughi and Lela Rose
With these two beautiful brands run by Dallas residents, it was only a matter of time before the neighbors of Highland Park Village formed an epic collaboration. Fans can buy a special edition with Lela Rose prints and fabrics in signature Lele Sadoughi headband styles on September 22nd. Both designers will be at the launch party in Highland Park Village from 4pm to 6pm to celebrate the partnership.
Macy’s backstage
A new Macy’s Backstage location opens its doors at The Center at Preston Ridge in Frisco on Saturday, September 18th at 11am. Backstage is a newer Macy’s concept that sells clothing, housewares, shoes, cosmetics, and other merchandise at discounted prices. The “off-price” concept offers favorite brands at clear savings with a constantly changing range of trendy items. This is the second backstage store in the DFW area after opening at The Village at Allen in May.
Texas standard
Who would have thought that you could buy such chic clothes at the Omni Dallas? This Austin-based menswear line has launched its fall collection with a few new apparel categories, including outerwear, as well as an expanded apparel range and seasonal options for the brand’s most popular designs. Highlights include The Borderland Vest ($ 99.50, sizes S-3XL), Texas Flannel ($ 114.50, sizes S-3XL), and Tejas Guayaberas ($ 118.50, sizes S-3XL). Available locally at Omni in Dallas, Maverick Western Wear and Chieffalo Americana in Fort Worth, J10 Designs in Rockwall and Local Yokel in McKinney.
The last line at the market
This LA-based fine jewelry brand – loved by Cameron Diaz, Rachel Zoe and Katy Perry – is the latest line to hit the rotating pop-up area of the Highland Park Village store. Owned by a married couple, the company prides itself on selling ethically-made pieces of 14k gold without the outrageous markups of the industry. The pop-up opens on September 17th and runs until February 2022.
Van Cleef & Arpels
The French luxury jewelry store will finally open its doors in Highland Park Village on September 23rd. Anyone who has patiently observed the building across from Starbucks and next to Trina Turk will be rewarded with a showroom that offers everything from watches to engagement rings. On the second floor, individual creations are presented in a more comfortable and private atmosphere.
