BancFirst Insurance Services Inc. was awarded Best Practices Insurance Agency status for the sixth year. This status is given to an elite group of independent insurance agencies in the United States. This status is achieved by participating in the Best Practices Study Group of Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”). The annual survey and study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the “best” agencies and encourages others to adopt similar practices.
Since 1993, the big “I” and Reagan Consulting, an Atlanta-based management consulting firm, have worked together each year to study the country’s leading agencies across six revenue categories. The study group agencies are selected every three years in a comprehensive nomination and qualification process and awarded the title “Best Practices Agency”. BancFirst Insurance was nominated by its peers and then qualified for its operational excellence.

More than 1,000 independent agencies in the US were nominated for the annual study, but only 262 agencies qualified for the award. To be selected, the agency had to be among the top performing agencies in one of six revenue categories.
The Best Practices Study was launched by Big “I” in 1993 as a basis for efforts to improve agency performance. The annual survey and study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the top performing agencies and encourages others to adopt similar practices.
