Your headlines: time is run out for these Democrats who fled the state against Governor Greg Abbott’s suffrage law. But one opponent has found that even certain defeat can have a silver lining.

Today is also a sad anniversary for fans and friends of the native Dallas and Blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughanwho died in a helicopter crash that day in 1990. We asked some to reminisce.
