Louisville restaurant Ramsi’s Cafe on the World files Chapter 11 bankruptcy
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A longtime Bardstown Road restaurant serving international cuisine recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The owner of Ramsi’s Cafe on the World, Ramsi Kamar, filed documents with the US bankruptcy court in western Kentucky on Wednesday.
The documents state that more than $ 500,000 in unsecured claims for assets and liabilities will be filed with creditors, including the Internal Revenue Service, Kentucky Department of Revenue, Louisville Finance Department, and Dallas-based Aramark food and facility service , Texas.
The Chapter 11 bankruptcy process allows the company to continue operations while debt and assets are restructured.
Ramsi’s Cafe opened in 1994 at 1293 Bardstown Road.
A second location of Ramsi’s Cafe opened in Norton Commons in July, but Kamar told WAVE 3 News that this location is not on the filing.
