National reaction to No. 21 Texas’ commanding 38-18 win over No. 23 Louisiana

After the three-and-off on first possession, Texas played a “clean” game, according to new head coach Steve Sarkisian. The Longhorns eventually controlled everything from the line of scrimmage to possession time on the way to a comfortable 38:18 triumph over Louisiana.

With Bijan Robinson’s 18-yard touchdown reception giving Texas a 7-3 lead in the first quarter, the rest of the day went smoothly for the Longhorns.

Hudson Card made his first start as a quarterback for Texas, racking up 224 yards, a couple of passing touchdowns and even rushing for a score himself before making way for Casey Thompson, who also threw for a touchdown.

Here are some of the national reactions to the Longhorns victory:

This is the most dramatic game Texas has played in a long time.

That was literally an ankle breaker that Jordan Whittington LB Ferrod Gardner put on. Horns in the shop with 3:15 in the left half.
