Two Plano hotels acquired by investor

Two hotels in Plano have changed hands as part of a larger, transnational deal.

New York-based MCR Investors LLC purchased the Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott on the north side of Bush Turnpike, east of US Highway 75.

The two limited-service hotels are adjacent to the huge CityLine project in Richardson.

The two hotels have more than 260 rooms.

MCR bought the hotels in North Texas and real estate in Seattle and Houston.

The hotels have a total of 674 rooms and were purchased for 94 million US dollars.

The hotel industry was one of the hardest hit property sectors during the COVID-19 pandemic. But with the return of business, investors are buying well-located hotel properties across the country.

MCR is one of the top hotel owners in the United States. The company has offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago and Richmond.

MCR owns 110 hotels with more than 15,000 rooms in 33 states.
