We Know Who is on Top, But Who Got Snubbed on Texas Monthly’s BBQ List – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Texas Monthly selected its 50 best grills in the state, and Goldee’s new Fort Worth restaurant was named # 1. Ten other grill bars in the DFW made it into the top 50. But who is missing?

The most notable restaurant for me is home, a company that started in Fort Worth and has expanded to Dallas. Heim “helped put this type of barbecue on the map in Fort Worth,” Daniel Vaughn, editor of Texas Monthly, told The Dallas Morning News last week.

But maybe grilling has gotten as serious – as competitive – in the Lone Star State. Heim made the list in 2017 but was excluded from the top 50 in 2021.
