William Howard Clark

William Howard Clark, 78, of Flower Mound, Texas, died on August 14, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer.

Bill was born and raised in Warren. He was the son of the late Howard L. Clark and Meredith A. Hansen Clark. He graduated from Warren High School in 1960 and served 10 years in the Marine Corps, including a tenure in Vietnam, where he was awarded three Purple Hearts. When he returned to the States, he was a drill instructor on Parris Island, SC. He also represented the base of their rifle team and traveled to competitions.

After his release in 1970, he returned to Warren for several years before moving to San Jose, California and later the Dallas, Texas area, where he worked as a real estate agent for nearly 40 years and started his own business, Bill Clark Property, had administration. Bill loved the hunt and the great outdoors, Labrador Retrievers (especially his beloved hunting dogs JR, Jayce and Rosie) and the music of Johnny Cash. As a legendary storyteller, Bill’s stories often ended with “Well, if it’s not true, it’s out.”

Bill leaves behind his two daughters: Kristin Clark of Flower Mound, Texas, and Trisha Clark of Denton, Texas; two brothers: Barry Clark and his wife, Doreen, of Warren, Pennsylvania, and Jeffery Clark and his wife, Michelle, of Wilmington, Del .; a nephew, Adam Clark of Erie, Pennsylvania; two nieces: Rebica Clark of Greensboro, NC, and Katelyn Clark of Warren, Pennsylvania; and several great-nephews, nieces, and cousins. We are grateful for the time we had and appreciate the memories he left us. It will live on forever in our hearts and minds.

According to his wishes, Bill’s ashes are scattered in his favorite spot on Lake Forever in his hunting lease on the Duff Ranch near Christoval, Texas. The family will hold a memorial service in Warren at a later date.
