Witherite Law Group, Fiesta, And Ft. Worth ISD Joined Together To Feed More Than 1,000 Dallas-Ft. Worth Families For Thanksgiving
FT. WORTH, Texas, November 19, 2021 Families face unprecedented economic hardships this holiday season, including a health crisis due to the global pandemic, food insecurity and overall food shortages. Witherite Law Group, 1-800-TruckWreck, Fiesta and Ft. The Worth ISD Family Acton Center has come together to address these difficulties by giving away 1,000 turkeys to Dallas-Ft. value Families in need of Thanksgiving.
Although the event started at 9 am, Families from all over the Metroplex were already starting to gather 6 o’clock in the morning in the Fiesta Store at 4245 E. Berry Street in Fort Worth. Turkey tickets were issued on a first come, first served basis until everyone was distributed. The event was free, open to the community, and no registration was required.
“Almost four million Texans experience food insecurity every day. Add to this a health crisis, unemployment and supply chain problems that make it difficult to get food and basic supplies, and you have a situation that leaves a lot of people utterly defeated and exhausted, “said Amy Witherite, Founder of the Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck. “We’re here today to ease some of that burden, so people can have the food they need for their vacation.”
Since the beginning of the global COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic difficulties, the demand for community-based help has increased even further. Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck are committed to serving the community, especially when the need is so obvious.
To date, the Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck have distributed more than 13,000 turkeys in the communities they serve. In addition to the Thanksgiving Turkey Sweepstakes, the Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck will work in partnership with the Fort Worth ISD Family Action Center at 11th December.
