America’s sassiest lifestyle guru returns
DALLAS – After a year of weddings and major events being canceled or postponed due to the pandemic, those in charge of production are just getting back to a normal schedule.
One of Texas’ most sought-after event producers, Steve Kemble, aka America’s cheeky lifestyle guru, is back to a schedule comparable to 2019.
Kemble has produced high profile events for Presidents Bush and Obama, Oprah Winfrey and the Dallas Cowboys, to name a few.
Usually he’s busy producing large events, including multi-million dollar weddings held in the best of locations. The COVID-19 pandemic slowed business, leaving him with very little business in 2020. From March to December, it produced only two smaller events during the usually busy time of the year.
“Nobody did events and that was handled by the government at both the federal and state levels,” said Kemble. “Our industry has literally closed completely.”
With his bold personality and eye-catching fashion, a big part of Kemble’s personality is his style. It can be seen in the elaborate decorations of an event he produced to the Versace suits he once wore in the possession of Elton John.
“In many cases, I’m selling a customer at a million dollar party, I have to look like a million dollars.” said Kemble.
He’s no stranger to the camera, and you may know him from the many reality shows he’s stared at, like ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition and Platinum Weddings, to name a few.
After a very slow 2020, he finally got back to work in April of this year producing a Steve Kemble standard wedding that made dreams come true for newly weds James Hallam and Kristin Sanders of Dallas with a two-day extravaganza.

“It was a fabulous event,” said Kemble. “I can’t tell you how many people came up to me and said, ‘This is the first time in a year that I have dressed up!’ That just made it more special. They were so excited to get dressed and go out again and celebrate again, it was wonderful. ”
To make the tuxedo reception a reality, Kemble and a crew of 85 spent two days transforming the Dallas Country Club into the “magical theatrical” 400-person event space that Kemble describes. One of Kemble’s favorite features of the event, which included the 12-foot tall “LOVE” sculpture made of white roses that served as a “unique” selfie station, Kemble said.

As things return to near pre-pandemic location, Kemble says he will miss wearing his multitude of bespoke fashion face masks that he has worn over the last year. He had a mask that went with any outfit, even when he went shopping.
“It’s refreshing to see a bit of normal return,” said Kemble. “From September to December of this year everything seems to be going as it was in 2019.
