A lawsuit filed Monday by Chad Read’s widow is suing Kyle Carruth and his company for a total of $ 50 million for negligent death.
Jennifer Marie Read filed the lawsuit, saying she and Chad went to his ex-wife’s place of business to find out the whereabouts of Chad’s youngest son, the lawsuit said.
“Every Texan has the right to defend himself and his property – but no one has the right to interfere in someone else’s conversation, to come back and bring a weapon to an otherwise non-violent argument, to escalate the argument into violence and a violent situation and then shoot and kill an unarmed man, ”the lawsuit says.
