Euless Restoration Business Restoring Kindness – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A north Texas company is known for restoring property after water damage, but they are also doing something good to restore friendliness.

Dalworth Restoration in Euless is in its fifth year of Restoring Kindness. The family who own the 42-year-old company heard about the Restoring Kindness initiative, which was running nationwide, a few years ago. They decided to complement the community effort they were already involved in by changing the way people viewed kindness.

They’ve delivered ice cream to local fire departments, surprised guests at an Arlington restaurant by picking up their tabs, surprised North Texans with coffee and pizza, and more.

“It’s about keeping paying across the community,” said Robyn Kent of Dalworth Restoration. “If everyone does just one little way, like opening doors, wishing someone a good day, it can be something simple, then you would make someone’s day sweeter.”

Kent said the ultimate goal is to remind people that we can all have a bad day, but we can all make someone’s day too.

“We want to spread friendliness. Especially with the pandemic that’s going on and you know you’re just letting people know that people are out there and they are still interested, ”Kent said.

To date, they have helped more than 50 restoration companies in America and Canada participate in the Restoring Kindness program.
