Gloria Salinas departs Dallas Regional Chamber for Frisco Economic Development Corporation
Gloria Salinas, vice president of economic development for the Dallas Regional Chamber, is moving.
Salinas becomes Vice President of Frisco Economic Development Corporation. She will lead the business development team and oversee efforts to move more headquarters to the fast-growing Collin County community.
Salinas replaces Jason Ford, who became President of Frisco EDC in June.

Frisco’s explosive growth shows no signs of slowing down after decades of rapid expansion. Hall Park, the city’s largest office space, announced that it would break the ground later this month for a new 20-story high-rise tower on the 162-acre campus.
The city is already home to sports teams, corporate headquarters such as Dr. Pepper and is the site of a massive development project related to the PGA’s move from Florida.

“Gloria’s experience and background is a perfect match for the excitement and growth in Frisco,” Ford said in a statement. “Frisco’s continuous growth in the areas of technology, innovation and smart cities will also be a focus for Gloria and the team.”
In addition to her role with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Salinas previously worked in the Dallas Economic Development Office and as the director of Downtown Odessa in West Texas. Salinas was a community editor and reporter for The Dallas Morning News from 2010 to 2013.
Salinas is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she received a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is aiming for an MBA at the Cox School of Business at SMU.
