EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Governor Greg Abbott announced that the world’s largest commercial real estate services investment firm, the CBRE Group, will bring more than 1,000 jobs to two cities in Texas.
The CBRE Group will invest nearly $ 30 million in its Dallas headquarters and create 460 new jobs. With a capital investment of more than $ 13 million in an operations center in Richardson, Texas, the group plans to create 550 new jobs.

Abbott also announced the construction of a Samsung facility in Taylor, Texas, a $ 17 billion investment.

The Samsung plant will produce advanced microchips for mobile devices, 5G, high performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI).
The creation of the Samsung Taylor plant is projected to create more than 2,000 engineering jobs, thousands of indirect jobs and at least 6,500 jobs in construction. Construction of the plant will begin early next year, with production scheduled to begin in 2024.
