These Texas companies are among the best U.S. employers for Millennials, national survey finds
Nearly two dozen Texas companies are among the best places to work in the country for millennials, according to a new study. This information comes from Great Place to Work, a company that surveys millions of employees to analyze the workplace cultures of some of the world’s largest companies.
To determine its list of the best places to work for Millennials in 2021, the company analyzed feedback from confidential surveys from more than 300,000 millennials in the United States
“The best jobs for millennials treat their employees like people, not just employees,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work, in a statement. “These companies promote care and respect for one another at all levels of the organization. The result is millennials who say they look forward to getting to work and, as our research says, are 50 times more likely to stay long. “

The survey found that pay and personal importance set the best jobs apart from other companies. The percentage of Millennials surveyed who feel they are being paid fairly and that their work has a purpose beyond a job is 7-10 points lower than Boomers and Gen Xers, according to the Great Place to Work report.
In the best jobs, 85% of millennials said they felt they were paid fairly for their jobs, unlike companies that didn’t make the list, where only 67% said they were paid fairly , so the report.
And when pay and purpose don’t match, millennials are more likely to get off the ship. Millennials are almost 4x more likely to quit their jobs than Boomers and 11x more likely than Gen X, according to the survey.
After the pandemic, flexibility of the schedule is another major concern for millennials. In survey comments, millennials mentioned COVID-19 more often than any other generation and nearly 50% more than Gen X, according to the study, which finds that many millennials shared a desire to continue the flexible work arrangements they had adopted during the pandemic.
