Clovis airport offering Dallas flights starting Nov. 1

Eastern New Mexico residents visiting Dallas-Fort Worth for business or pleasure have another travel option this fall.

From November 1st, Clovis Regional Airport will offer passenger service to Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport.

A press release from the City of Clovis State Tickets will go on sale October 1st.

Clovis Airport will continue to offer direct flights to Denver through Denver Air Connection, the announcement said.

“DAC currently offers 12 non-stop sightseeing flights per week to Denver International Airport with its Dornier 328 Jet for 30 passengers,” said the press release. “In November, the flight schedules will be split evenly between Dallas and Denver.”

Some local residents were disappointed last year when they learned that DAC had not been traveling to Dallas since 2014 like its predecessor, Boutique Air, for flight service operations.

“Denver Air Connection is primarily focused on the needs and wants of the communities we serve. DFW’s inclusion in Clovis Air Service is part of our commitment to you, ”said Denver Air Connection’s Jon Coleman in Tuesday’s press release.

It was not immediately clear what times or days flights to Dallas might be offered. A woman who answered the phone for DAC on Tuesday said she had no information on possible flight times. The DAC website – flyclovisnm.com – didn’t list any options for scheduling appointments in Dallas on Tuesday.

DAC currently offers at least one daily flight to Denver.
