Skywest Airlines has to cancel flights due to technical problems.
Skywest Airlines confirmed it had to cancel 608 flights on Thursday evening and at least 217 flights scheduled for Friday.
Media work for American Airlines confirmed that these technical issues also affected Columbia Regional Airport. COU had to cancel two American Airlines flights to Dallas and Chicago. Both flights should depart on Friday morning.

These technical issues were resolved at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday evening, but air travelers are still feeling the effects.
“We’re working to minimize the impact on Friday’s flight schedule and get back to normal operations as soon as possible,” Skywest Airlines said in a statement.
