Dak Prescott looking forward to ‘special’ homecoming on Monday night

Dak Prescott’s comeback tour is scheduled for the home game.

Prescott and Dallas are returning for the first time since breaking an ankle last season to play in front of the Cowboys fans at AT&T Stadium.

And Prescott will try to enjoy all the delights of the home audience.

“I think it’s getting more special just because of the amount of Cowboys fans that will be there for the away games,” Prescott said of ESPN’s Todd Archer on Friday. “I mean, the first two of course traveled great and felt the energy and felt that, but just knowing that the support they have given me over the years was important to me, was something I did And knowing when I run out again, if it’s before the game, if it’s in a moment in the game, just to be able to look up there and know that after COVID and what we all went through last year , they have all back, yes, it will be exciting.

“I’ll take this moment, I’ll be grateful for it, but then put my mind back on defending the Eagles and what I have to do to win the game.”

In fact, Cowboys fans travel well and were out in abundance for the season opener in Tampa Bay and a week 2 show against host Los Angeles Chargers.

Monday night promises to become an even bigger gathering of loyal cowboys and Prescott is playing a regular season game at the AT&T Stadium for the first time since week 5 of last year, which marked a harrowing end to his season when he lost the giants to a cruel ankle injury.

While this is hardly a memory Prescott wants to relive, his skills on the cowboy home field are.

Prescott is 24-11 years old in his career that began in 2016. He will seek to expand this formidable record and take another step away from the injury that ended his promising campaign about a year ago.
