Gaylord Texan to Launch Annual Christmas Event Without ICE! – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
The Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine is unveiling its full Christmas program, presented between November 12th and January 2nd as part of its 18th annual Lone Star Christmas event.
Visitors can purchase individual event tickets and room reservations for the pre-Christmas period in advance.
This year the ice carvers couldn’t come due to international travel restrictions, the Gaylord told Texan ICE! will return in the next holiday season.
According to Gaylord Texan, in partnership with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment, guests will join Buddy the Elf, who helps save the vacation in a multi-sensory experience full of interactive challenges that is perfect for all ages.
Guests can team up with Mr. Narwhal and friends in the Candy Cane Forest, stay one step ahead of the North Pole toy quota, prepare for Santa’s arrival at the iconic department store, and partake in an epic virtual snowball fight in Central Park.
In total, there are more than 12 interactive elements to discover during the Christmas event.
The resort is also showcasing Merry & Light, an outdoor walk-in Christmas lighting with over 400,000 colored lights, a 12m high Christmas tree with an animated light show, a North Pole exhibition with falling snow, a forest of trees, and a real Mrs. Claus Meet and Greet.
In the resort’s Christmas village, visitors can experience a two-story, 8-lane snow tubing hill and a 6,000 square meter indoor ice rink. Visitors can also build their own life-size snowman out of real snow and test their skills at throwing snowballs.
Other interactive vacation activities include the Elf Workshop, the gingerbread decorating corner, breakfast with Charlie Brown and friends, and more.
