Health care staffing firm will move its headquarters into the Toyota Music Factory next year

A new healthcare recruitment agency will open its corporate headquarters next year in the Toyota Music Factory, which occupies over 50,000 square feet in the multi-purpose development of Las Colinas.

Curative Talent, which currently has around 200 employees on the LBJ Freeway in Dallas, did not want to reveal the price associated with the deal announced on Monday.

The offices are bespoke by Dallas-based architecture firm Corgan and include amenities such as folding glass walls and indoor basketball facilities. The unique design opportunities at Toyota Music Factory greatly influenced the company’s decision to move to Irving, said Jeff Bowling, chief executive officer of Curative.

“As soon as we discovered that the Curative Talent team could call the Toyota Music Factory our home, we quickly secured the last large available space on the project,” said Bowling.

The 500,000-square-foot Toyota Music Factory developed by the Ark Group opened in 2018. It has an 8,000-person outdoor amphitheater, more than 20 restaurants and a cinema. Ark Group announced an office space expansion in March 2020, increasing the number of offices by 50%.

Curative Talent leverages data science to recruit healthcare professionals and connect them to healthcare systems across the country. The company was acquired by the professional medical network Doximity in June 2020 and became the human resources department of the network.

Doximity, which went public in June, had sales of nearly $ 73 million in the three months ended June 30, according to the SEC.

The need for healthcare professionals is growing day by day, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has left frontline healthcare workers overworked and exhausted. Healthcare employment has fallen by more than 500,000 jobs since February 2020, according to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Bowling said many healthcare workers are moving away from more traditional work internships and towards gig work options, making recruiting companies like Curative indispensable.

“As more employees develop a gig-like mentality, we can take advantage of this by helping doctors find the gig that is best for them,” said Bowling. “The work-life balance has changed a lot and people just want this on-demand work.”
