North Texas developer kicks off huge Hill Country community

One of North Texas’ busiest developers is out in the Hill Country for his next big project.

Centurion American Development Group, based in Farmers Branch, begins construction of a residential complex in Marble Falls, northwest of Austin. The project, called Thunder Rock, will include 1,966 homes starting at $ 250,000.

Along with the homes, Thunder Rock will include apartment buildings, a commercial development, and a community for elderly residents.

The new development will also include a 26-acre sports complex, 10-acre leisure center and parks. The builders DR Horton and Lennar will have houses in the first phase.

“Centurion American Development Group is excited to begin development in Marble Falls – an area that is ready for growth and located in one of the most scenic parts of Texas,” said Rob Romo, vice president of Centurion American, in one Explanation. “We look forward to having two nationally recognized home builders of such high caliber to build our signature Thunder Rock development in Marble Falls.

“DR Horton and Lennar Homes are the two dominant home builders in Central Texas and are therefore an excellent fit for this project.”

Centurion American has developed communities for nearly 100,000 single-family homes in North Texas over the past three decades. The developer has also completed major commercial projects including the redevelopment of the historic Statler Hotel in downtown Dallas.
