Plans pushing ahead for Turtle Creek residential tower

A developer from Houston is planning the groundbreaking for a new high-rise in the Turtle Creek district of Dallas in September.

In February, a Houston-based subsidiary of MarketSpace Capital bought an empty construction site on Hall Street on Turtle Creek Boulevard – just across from Turtle Creek Park.

The property is surrounded by the Renaissance on Turtle Creek property towers, and the site has long been the home of a former single-family home that housed the offices of late Dallas businessman George Poston.

According to the planning documents submitted to the state, the new owner is now planning a 77,360 square meter residential tower.

The 17-story building would cost more than $ 35 million and will open in 2023, according to state records.

Dallas-based Javier Espinoza Architect is designing the project.

The developer is a housing company that claims to have assets of $ 260 million under management.

The new Turtle Creek skyscraper is slated to be just one block away from where developers have just announced plans for a $ 750 million Four Seasons hotel, condominium, and office tower.
