State Fair of Texas to Close Early Due to Severe Weather Threat – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
The State Fair of Texas closed early Sunday evening due to impending storms in North Texas.
The fair asked the fair visitors to leave the fair park by 8.30 p.m. on Sunday.

According to NBC 5 meteorologists, all types of severe weather will be possible, with harmful winds being the main threat.
The storms in the DFW area are expected to begin around 9 p.m. on Sunday and continue into the night hours as storms move east. The system is expected to move east of the DFW area by midnight, reducing the risk of severe weather.
The fair runs until October 17th.
