Tottenham superfans travel 31 hours from America to Burnley

TWO TOTTENHAM fans are devastated after traveling all the way from DALLAS to the scheduled duel against Burnley for this afternoon.

The two won’t be able to see their beloved Spurs in action after the game was postponed after a heavy snowfall in Burnley.

It’s called surrender

The decision was made less than an hour before kick-off, and many fans were already ready for kick-off on Turf Moor.

And these two Tottenham fans had traveled to Lancashire on Saturday night and started their journey across the Atlantic.

It started with the long flight from Dallas to London on Friday before taking the train out of the capital on Saturday.

And they were dejected when referee Peter Bankes deemed the terms of the game unsafe.

They shared a selfie from the train ride north and wrote, “Dallas to London to Burnley (almost there) 31 hours – no sleep – fueled by coffee, cheese crackers and more coffee. Cold temperatures and snow forecast for the game day. The things we do when you love your club. “

Most Spurs fans will regret having to travel back to north London after making the trip north in vain, let alone America.

However, fans based in the States remained optimistic, making sure the day wasn’t in vain.

After announcing the game was over, they wrote on Twitter: “Appreciate all the love, but don’t make a mistake.

“Hanging out with some great pals @vickijukes and others … THAT is what soccer #weilfootball #coys is all about.”

It is not yet clear when the game will be rescheduled.

But with NINE Games that are already planned for December will find it difficult for the Premier League bosses to find a game date for the Spurs.

Antonio Conte and Co have to face an accumulation of Christmas games during the Christmas holidays.

Commenting on his decision to postpone the game, Bankes said, “We asked the club officials to sweep the snow.

“We rolled the ball, we did everything we can, there was a lot of snow on the football.

“And I think the best thing was to abandon the game, which we did after talking to both managers.

He continued: “We still had the problem with fans coming into the stadium and an hour and a half earlier which was unfortunate and obviously the snow fell very quickly.

“But both managers agreed that it wouldn’t do the spectacle and the fans any good.

“The players would probably have trouble in this weather and the best decision is to abandon the game.”
