Fall airfare savings to sunny destinations with Alaska, Delta, more
As the fall season begins, airlines continue to offer incentives for vacation destinations. From flash sales to status boosts, it’s a great time for Seattle travelers to save and strategize for the months to come.
This week’s airline news includes fare deals to sunny destinations like California, Florida, and Mexico. Those traveling east will also find deals to New York in the $ 100 range.
Read on to discover the latest flight deals from Alaska, Delta and Spirit, while Southwest has a new elite status boost on fall flights.
Alaska Deals on Fall Travel
Alaska Airlines offers up to 20% savings on flights to and from the Bay Area, with airports such as Fresno (FAT), Monterey (MRY), Oakland (OAK), Sacramento (SMF), San Francisco (SFO), San Jose (SJC) and Santa Rosa (STS).
Travelers to Seattle (SEA) will find several options in the Bay Area in the $ 50 range. This flash sale is only available until September 6th at 11:59 pm (PST) with the promotional code WHOISKARL and is valid for travel dates between September 21st and February 9th, 2022. The 20% discount applies to bus travel while the 10% discount applies to first class seats.
Did you miss the flash sale? Alaska Airlines offers a number of additional routes for autumn travel, but these must be booked by September 13th. Examples of tariffs are Seattle to Boise (BOI) from $ 59, Seattle to Los Angeles (LAX) or Seattle to San Diego (SAN) from $ 69, and Seattle to New York (JFK) from $ 119.
Delta Sunshine Sale
Delta’s latest flight deals include popular sunshine destinations for fall getaways. The offers apply to both purchased tickets and the redemption of miles.
Examples of round-trip fares are Seattle (SEA) to Fort Myers (RSW) for $ 229 or 14,000 miles, Seattle to Charleston (CHS) for $ 235 or 15,500 miles, and Seattle to Orlando (MCO) for $ 277 or 14,500 miles.
Are you considering escaping to Mexico this fall? Travel from Seattle to Los Cabos (SJD) for $ 282 or 10,000 miles, or enjoy Cancun (CUN) for $ 320 or 12,000 miles.
Status boost for the Southwest level
Southwest is offering frequent flyers an increase in tier credit as any flight now flown through November 30, 2021 will receive double credit towards A-List or A-List Preferred status.
Loyal Southwest travelers must register online for this benefit and then fly by November 30th to receive double the credit bonus. Flights should be booked directly with Southwest. The promotion does not apply to flights booked by redeeming miles.

Spirit season tariff sale
Travelers looking for rock bottom prices can now find incredible one-way sale rates at Spirit. Multiple destinations are offered for less than $ 50 each way.
Examples of sunshine destinations are Seattle (SEA) to Las Vegas (LAS) from $ 20, Seattle to Los Angeles (LAX) from $ 36, and Seattle to Orlando (MCO) or Fort Lauderdale (FLL) from $ 40.
Other deals for fall destinations include Seattle to Newark (EWR) for $ 40, Seattle to Dallas (DFW) for $ 47, and Seattle to Houston (IAH) for $ 56.
