MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar) – Medical bills, gasoline, and other travel expenses have all added up for the Printz family as they continue to travel to and from Dallas for Baby Jeannie’s surgeries.

That weekend, Jeannie’s family held a fundraiser to reduce the cost of their medical bills. We have spoken to members of the Printz family and many say this trip takes an emotional and physical toll on the family.

“To see Jeannie, how she goes through it, it hits immediately, to be her godparents and to support her, means the world for me and my husband,” says Jeannie’s godmother. Jeannie’s father shared a few words about how this whole experience was for him and his wife.

“It was a pretty wild ride, it went from zero to a hundred very quickly,” said Tyler Printz.

With support from the community and local auto clubs, the Printz family raised more than $ 3,000 from Jeannie’s fundraiser.

For those who didn’t make it to the fundraiser, you still have the option to make a donation to the Printz family through their Facebook page.
