Tottenham fans travel 31 hours from Dallas only to find out match against Burnley is postponed due to heavy snow, but Harry Kane invites them as guests for future match

Two Tottenham fans got the worst luck in the world when their 31-hour trip to see their team play at Burnley turned out to be pointless as the game was postponed.

Turf Moor’s turf was simply unplayable because of the snow and resulted in Spurs’ Premier League game being canceled.

Turf Moor, Burnley’s home ground, was covered in snow which meant their game against the Spurs could not take place

Given the advanced playing fields of the Premier League in dealing with adverse conditions, it would have been a real disappointment for both clubs not to be able to hold this competition.

None than Ken and Brandi Saxton, who traveled all the way from Dallas, USA to see their beloved side.

“Dallas to London to Burnley (almost there) 31 hours – no sleep,” tweeted Ken as he described his train from the capital to the north of England.

“Powered by coffee, cheese crackers and even more coffee.

“Cold temperatures and snow are predicted for the game day. The things we do when you love your club @SpursOfficial #coys #thfc #snowmatch. “

While he would have been devastated if he’d traveled this far and canceled the game, it wasn’t all bad news.

The pubs were still open and, like any football fan, Ken didn’t hesitate to drop by for a pint.

As with all big supporters, Ken’s comments were filled with good hearted news, including one from ex-player Graham Roberts calling on the club to help the Spurs fan.

I’m sorry buddy, I hope the club does something for you.

Ken and Brandi’s day went from bad to brilliant when Spurs forward Harry Kane invited them to attend a game in the future.

The English star wrote: “This tweet has just been sent and it has been absolutely gutted for you! For your commitment and to make up for the abandonment of the game, I would like to invite you to a home game as my guest on your next visit to London. “

Kane’s offer was unsurprisingly well received and Brandi replied on Twitter: “Well the husband has officially gone viral and we were personally invited by Harry Kane to see the Spurs !!”

But not all of them were put off by the weather. While many were wrapped up against the cold, Burnley manager Sean Dyche inspected the pitch with just a shirt and pants.
